Besan Bread Cutlet
Recipe:
Ingredients:
White bread slices - 6
Water - 120 milliliters
Gram flour - 50 grams
Onions - 50 grams
Bell pepper - 6 tablespoons
Green chili - 1 tablespoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1/8 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/4 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Parsley - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Fennel seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Red chili - 1/2 teaspoon
Dry ginger powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Tamarind pulp - 250 milliliters
Sugar - 100 grams
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Oil - for fry
Preparation:
1 - In a bowl, add 6 white bread slices and cut into pieces.
2 - Add 120 milliliters water and mix it well. Keep aside.
3 - Take a pan, add 50 grams gram flour and dry roast for 5 - 6 minutes.
4 - Remove it from heat and transfer this into a bowl.
5 - Add 50 grams onions, 6 tablespoons bell pepper, 1 tablespoon green chili, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/8 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon red chili, 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1 tablespoon parsley and mix it well.
6 - Add 1 tablespoon oil and knead it into a dough.
7 - Take some mixture in your hands and shape it into a cutlet.
8 - Place it on a plate and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
9 - Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan, add 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds and stir well.
10 - Add 1/2 teaspoon red chili, 1/4 teaspoon dry ginger powder and cook for 1 minute.
11 - Add 250 milliliters tamarind pulp, 100 grams sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook for 10 - 12 minutes. Remove it from heat.
12 - Heat sufficient oil in a heavy skillet and deep fry prepared cutlet until golden brown and crispy.
13 - Remove it from heat and drain it on an absorbent paper.
14 - Serve.
